Kindness

'The kindness of the Lord is from eternity to eternity toward those who fear him' (psalm 103)

Our world is sorely in need of kindness.
Save us O Lord from brutality ... including our own.
Give us compassionate, tender hearts that recognize your presence,
that peace may come.

We pray this day for those whose lives are torn apart by violence.

O Lord,
that Peace may come.

Gracious God,
Be with us as we step out in new ways.
Help us to listen for the sound of your voice in unexpected places.
Draw us closer to you and to all those in need of love and compassion.
Only you can bring true peace to our troubled world.

Be with us,
embolden us,
call us forth in truth.

Amen.

Gathering

Gathering the fragments of the day,
one by one.
The dance, the walking, the drawing
into the centre of you.

And here I find all that is,
crying out for justice.
My people, what have I done to you?

Haiti. Heaven knows
